About BFF
Founded in 2021 by Blake Baker and Kristen Baker, the Baker Family Foundation (BFF) strives to make a positive impact on our community by creating a bridge between those in need and the resources needed for positive change. The Foundation is currently completing a strategic planning process to inform its next decade of work.
The BFF serves two primary functions
YOUTH SUPPORT
The BFF recognizes that investing in young people is an investment in the future of America. With that in mind, the BFF awards grants and scholarships to our community’s youth through dedicated programming, including:
- Foster Care Transition Program
- Trade School Program
- Youth Sports Program
- Youth Culinary Program
- Young Entrepreneur Program.
The BFF provides financial support and career opportunities to the aspiring youth in our community. Many young people in our community have a vision, an idea or a plan, but lack the resources to put it into motion. Through our youth programs, the BFF provides the tools to help them pursue their dreams and make them a reality. Our goal is to provide significant support to these young people and enrich their lives: their success brings exciting new energy and prosperity to our community.
EMERGING CRISES AND HARDSHIP SITUATIONS
The BFF seeks out and provides immediate support to those in a crisis or hardship situation, and who struggle to find assistance elsewhere. Some of the communities we support include:
- Single parents
- Veterans
- Seniors
- Women in transition
- Victims of abuse
- Families in crisis
The BFF is positioned to act quickly to provide support in the case of a fire, a natural disaster or serious illness. The BFF will provide financial aid and other resources to move individuals through hardship and move forward. When disaster strikes, the BFF will be there!
